About the role

  • Inside Sales Representative combining sales/customer service and technical knowledge to sell products in automotive sector. Develop relationships and identify sales opportunities to maximize value for Avnet.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver solutions or find new opportunities for a positive customer experience utilizing independent judgment and sales methodology.
  • Initiate and answer sales inquiries directly from/to prospective and/or existing customers to promote product offerings, services and capabilities.
  • Monitor/follow up on sales activities throughout the process to meet or exceed customer requirements from initial contact to order fulfillment.
  • Maintain and expand sales with existing accounts through a high level of customer service and customer knowledge (e.g., Distribution Total Available Market (DTAM), projects in pipeline, critical start dates).
  • Work in a team environment, proactively coordinating sales efforts and strategies with internal resources such as product, materials, field sales and suppliers.
  • Communicate with customers regarding current product information and provides accurate and detailed pricing, quotes, and input on products and final solutions.
  • Coordinates existing customer requirements for inventories, delivery lead time and unit prices.
  • Occasionally travel to customer sites or attend training including some overnight travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Possesses previous sales experience in the electronics, semiconductor, or distribution industry (preferred).
  • Has a solid understanding of customer needs, product portfolios, and the complexity of B2B business services.
  • Demonstrates the ability to deliver effective solutions for small and less complex customer accounts.
  • Has a basic working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, including order management processes.
  • Possesses basic to intermediate skills in Excel, the Microsoft Office suite, and Outlook.
  • Is fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is a collaborative team player with a positive, service-oriented mindset.
  • Is willing to occasionally travel to customer sites or attend training sessions, including overnight stays when required.
