About the role

  • Installation, configuration, maintenance, implementation and updating of database systems, as well as databases for applications
  • In particular, locating and resolving faults and issues, and implementing optimization measures
  • Supporting application developers with questions on DB modeling, formulation of SQL statements, transaction management and database errors
  • Managing or assisting with root cause analysis and resolution of errors in production systems (database systems, data configurations, job failures, program errors)

Requirements

  • You have a successfully completed bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Database Management or a related field
  • Alternatively, a comparable professional qualification
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in database administration or software development with relational databases
  • Strong SQL skills and proven expertise in the MS SQL Server database management system
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues
  • Additionally, you have an understanding of security aspects related to databases
