Responsibilities
Installation, configuration, maintenance, implementation and updating of database systems, as well as databases for applications
In particular, locating and resolving faults and issues, and implementing optimization measures
Supporting application developers with questions on DB modeling, formulation of SQL statements, transaction management and database errors
Managing or assisting with root cause analysis and resolution of errors in production systems (database systems, data configurations, job failures, program errors)
Requirements
You have a successfully completed bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Database Management or a related field
Alternatively, a comparable professional qualification
At least 3 years of professional experience in database administration or software development with relational databases
Strong SQL skills and proven expertise in the MS SQL Server database management system
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues
Additionally, you have an understanding of security aspects related to databases
