Responsibilities
You will provide visionary leadership to the Transport Planning team in England and Wales, or across Ireland, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You will mentor and develop team members, nurturing their technical and soft skills by being at the forefront of continued professional development.
You will work to foster a collaborative environment and you will support the Practice Lead to further develop a culture that places emphasis on the health, safety and wellbeing of our team.
You will identify growth opportunities, build strong client relationships, and contribute to winning new projects.
Raise the profile of Amey Transport Planning within the wider industry through, for example, presenting at conferences.
You will leverage your deep understanding of transport planning, traffic engineering, and sustainable mobility to drive impactful solutions.
You will oversee the successful execution of complex projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to timelines and budgets.
You will also produce and negotiate fee proposals and manage the financial aspect of projects.
You will stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, encouraging innovation within the team.
Requirements
You will have a proven track record in transport planning, ideally within a large consultancy environment delivering complex projects for public sector clients.
You will be able to demonstrate your ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
You will have a deep technical knowledge of transport planning with a focus on areas such as Development Planning, Transport Modelling, Business Cases, and Active Travel.
You will have an existing client base that you can leverage to bring in new work as well as supporting and growing existing pipelines of work.
You will have a relevant degree.
You will ideally have a Masters degree and we value your commitment to being chartered in your firld of expertise.
