About the role

  • Lead and deliver ALONE’s core services, including Support Coordination, Befriending (Visitation & Telephone), Volunteer Engagement, and Technology Support for older people.
  • Drive strong, strategic partnerships with local Statutory, Community, and Voluntary organisations to maximise impact.
  • Champion ALONE’s mission locally, promoting services, building referral pathways, and expanding community capacity to support older people.
  • Ensure excellence in service delivery, meeting all HSE agreement objectives and delivering accurate, timely reporting.
  • Identify and address service gaps, collaborating across sectors to design and implement effective, person-centred solutions.
  • Provide impactful reports to funders, stakeholders, and leadership—using data to tell the story and shape the future.
  • Inspire high-performing teams through effective people management, continuous development, and a strong culture of improvement.
  • Deliver on ALONE’s strategic goals, aligning your team’s work to achieve ambitious targets and lasting change.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Self-motivated person who is committed to ALONE’s mission
  • Educated to Degree Level or significant relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in service operations.
  • Able to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, discretion, and respect.
  • Minimum of 2-year staff management experience, including support and performance management of teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders both internally & externally
  • A collaborative team player who fosters strong internal and external relationships.
  • Proactive problem-solver, using innovation to improve service delivery and support independent older person and the people we serve.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills to prioritise workload and meet KPIs.
