  • Commodity Manager developing procurement strategies for body components at Alexander Dennis. Identifying suppliers, negotiating costs, and collaborating with engineering teams for sustainable transport solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop best-in-class commodity strategies for procurement of key body components
  • Identify new sources of supply and negotiate commercial and contractual terms
  • Manage supplier performance to improve cost and availability
  • Collaborate closely with design engineering teams for early supplier involvement in new product development
  • Support a team of buyers and procurement engineers

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Strong planning and decision-making skills
  • Graduate qualification in Engineering or Business discipline (Bonus)
  • MCIPS qualification (Bonus)
  • Experience in managing risk and driving cost improvement (Bonus)
