About the role

  • Business Development Representative focusing on enterprise accounts at Alan, developing strategic prospection approaches and building relationships. Join the Sales team to fuel Alan's growth from Paris, Bordeaux, or Lyon.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic account mapping: Conduct deep analysis of target companies (300–3,000 employees), identifying key contacts and decision-makers across assigned segments.
  • High-quality prospecting: Execute multichannel outreach to schedule 2–3 high-quality discovery meetings per week via email, LinkedIn, phone, and creative approaches.
  • Apply the Alan Smart & Soft selling method to ensure the prospect experience aligns with Alan’s customer standards.
  • Meeting preparation & support: Prepare meeting materials, actively contribute to meetings alongside Account Executives, and occasionally lead meetings with non–C-level contacts.
  • Relationship building: Proactively nurture and engage key stakeholders throughout long sales cycles—maintaining regular contact and building trust until opportunities are opened. Consistent follow-up is essential to develop a strong, qualified pipeline.
  • Contribute to and own strategic team initiatives: Actively participate in BDR team projects, contribute to the sales playbook, and take ownership of initiatives that improve team performance and processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience (background does not have to be pure sales — we value analytical minds and versatility).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (native French & English).
  • Strategic prospecting skills: appetite for enterprise accounts, multichannel prospecting, and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated analytical excellence: strong strategic thinking, account mapping, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Confidence and resilience: comfortable with a demanding workload, not easily intimidated, and able to maintain a positive attitude through challenges.
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-up skills and CRM proficiency.
  • Growth mindset: coachable, curious, and eager to master new tools, including AI prospecting technology.
  • Based in (or willing to relocate to) Paris, Bordeaux, or Lyon.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and fair rewards. Generous equity packages complement your base salary.
  • Flexible office options: excellent office space at our Paris HQ or a sponsored co‑working hub in Bordeaux or Lyon.
  • All the tools you need: top‑of‑the‑line equipment—MacBook Pro, keyboard, laptop stand, monitor, and noise‑canceling headphones.
  • Flexible vacation policy and working hours: organize your time as you wish.
  • Comprehensive health insurance: very extensive coverage—100% for you and your children, 90–100% for partners depending on your country (permanent contracts only).
  • Transport: country-specific commuter benefits.
  • Learning & training opportunities: a flexible training policy, free books, and budget to attend and speak at conferences when opportunities arise.
  • Personal growth through coaching: at Alan, coaching is core—every employee is paired with a dedicated coach from day one to maximize impact, nurture engagement, and develop potential.
  • Parental leave: extended parental leave for all new parents.
