About the role

  • HR Consultant providing HR guidance and support for WEC Energy Group. Collaborating with leaders to enhance employee relations and ensure regulatory compliance through effective strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with employees and leaders to provide guidance on HR processes and strategies
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with company and union leadership
  • Supports corporate business unit goals in compliance with HR policies and practices
  • Participates in union negotiations and administration of collective bargaining agreements
  • Interprets labor contract provisions and past practices to support business activities
  • Consults on investigations, employment agency complaints, and corrective actions
  • Delivers training on HR policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR Management or other applicable discipline
  • 2+ years' experience in an HR support/analytical role
  • Project leadership experience
  • Strong technical understanding of HR subject matter and practices
  • Strong analytical skills
  • 5+ years' experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role in a union environment (preferred)
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and problem solving skills (preferred)
  • Conflict resolution skills (preferred)
  • Experience interpreting collective bargaining agreements, participating in union negotiations, processing grievances, etc. (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (preferred)
