About the role

  • Workday HCM Analyst and Product Owner managing HR technology systems for global organization. Focused on optimizing Workday HCM and improving digital employee experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Designing new technologies and diving into data to optimize digital experiences.
  • Managing the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system and serving as the product owner for core HR areas.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimization and configuration of Workday HCM.
  • Managing the configuration, maintenance, and support of the Workday HCM system.
  • Configuring Workday HCM to meet business requirements, including business process workflows, tenant settings, and custom reports.
  • Providing guidance and hands-on technical support for escalated Workday-related issues.
  • Serving as the Workday Release Manager, coordinating with HR and stakeholders for smooth deployment of updates.
  • Creating clear and comprehensive product documentation, including user stories and product roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience managing Workday HCM, including direct configuration of complex requirements.
  • Proficiency in Workday configuration, including business process setup, security, calculated fields, and custom reports.
  • Demonstrated skills in application delivery, relationship management, delivering results, business knowledge, intuition and judgment, high cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity, strong communication/collaboration.
  • Experience working in a global organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Decision-making – Capability to make informed decisions quickly and effectively, balancing competing priorities and risks.
  • Backlog management – Skills in creating, prioritizing and managing the product backlog to ensure that the development team works on the highest-value items.
  • Developing/mentoring others and providing guidance/feedback to drive outcomes.
  • Experience proactively engaging available technology resources to develop a strong network and growth (e.g., Workday Community, user groups, etc).
  • Data Analysis – Ability to analyze data and metrics to understand product performance, user behavior, and areas for improvement.
  • Problem solving – Aptitude for identifying issues and obstacles and finding practical solutions to keep the product development on track.
  • Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance, cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines.
  • Experience working in an Agile manner and Agile tools a plus.
