Vice President of Development overseeing development program and fundraising strategies for RMHC Bay Area. Leading a team to build donor relationships and achieve ambitious financial goals.
Responsibilities
Serving as a key member of the RMHC Bay Area leadership team
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer
Oversight, planning, and execution of a comprehensive annual development program
Drive strategies to support the organization’s growth plans
Work directly with donors, prospects and volunteer leaders
Build meaningful relationships with high-value supporters
Provide overall leadership and supervision to a full-time Development and Marketing team of eight
Develop and solicit a portfolio of 25 high-value supporters
Lead and coach an established Development and Marketing team
Oversee fundraising goal setting and planning activities
Requirements
At least ten years of progressive leadership experience in development
Deep understanding of prospect research, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies
Experience leading multi-year campaigns a plus
Strong leadership and administration skills
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Eagerness to take an active, public role as a representative of RMHC Bay Area
Flexibility to welcome and embrace change
Knowledge of the Bay Area’s unique philanthropic landscape
Advanced expertise in all MS Office suite of products and donor management software
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required; master’s degree and/or CFRE would be an advantage
