About the role

  • Act as the primary technical voice in pre-sales engagements, partnering closely with the commercial team to drive sales.
  • Bridge clients' technical challenges and Qodea's solutions, shaping cloud architecture across Infrastructure, Security, Data, and AI.
  • Support discovery through final presentation stages to help drive revenue and secure new business.
  • Participate in technical discussions with senior client stakeholders (CTOs, Heads of Engineering, Enterprise Architects) to become a trusted advisor.
  • Translate complex technical requirements into clear business outcomes for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Assist in architecting and designing high-level cloud solutions that integrate Qodea's platform and ensure migration/modernisation paths.
  • Identify and overcome technical objections, assist in proof-of-concept demonstrations, and provide technical validation to shorten sales cycles.
  • Act as liaison between pre-sales process and internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), engaging SMEs strategically to support complex deals.
  • Collaborate with Google and internal teams to nurture existing customers and identify new opportunities within customer base.
  • Spend significant time on-site (at least 60%) at company offices or client sites for in-person collaboration.

Requirements

  • Experience in a pre-sales, solutions architecture, or sales engineering support role within a software or cloud services environment.
  • Familiarity with a major public cloud platform (ideally Google Cloud Platform - GCP).
  • Experience with GCP including infrastructure, application modernisation, and data services preferred.
  • Professional-level Google Cloud certification is a plus.
  • Alternatively, experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) will be considered for candidates willing to learn and become proficient in Google Cloud.
  • Ability to present technical concepts clearly and build good relationships with technical leaders.
  • Understanding of the sales process and the ability to connect technical solutions with business value.
  • Eagerness to collaborate effectively with commercial colleagues (team player).
  • Problem-solving skills: understand customer needs, identify challenges, and contribute to developing solutions.
  • Willingness to spend at least 60% of time on-site (company offices or client sites).
