About the role
- Supplier Management Specialist ensuring organisation-wide oversight of suppliers and contracts. Supporting contract managers and engaging with stakeholders in the financial services sector.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support to Contract Managers and Accountable Executives to embed SMF principles, tools and processes into contract day-to-day management activities
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders of different seniorities to raise awareness, support delivery and actively engage with the Contract Management Community of Practice
- Brief contract managers on required training, providing support and guidance throughout the process
- Monitor adoption and effectiveness of the SMF, identifying barriers to implementation and working with stakeholders within the wider business to resolve issues and refine approaches
- Monitor and report on completion rates to relevant stakeholders, helping contract managers understand how the training related to their specific roles and responsibilities
Requirements
- Minimum: Prior experience in contract and supplier management
- Prior experience within the financial services or public sector
- Essential: Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Good prioritisation skills to help balance a busy workload
- Ability to articulate key details to relevant stakeholders
- Proficient in articulating key details to relevant stakeholders across the business
