About the role
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Record month closing transactions and update the general ledger.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable entries.
- Reconcile G/L accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare financial reports and support financial reporting tasks.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Prepare and file tax returns and ensure tax compliance.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and prepare necessary documentation.
- Support senior accountants and contribute to auditing processes ensuring GAAP adherence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in accounting operations.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with international or multi-entity accounting (preferred).
- Proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with corporate accounting software and ERP systems (SAP and QuickBooks preferred).
- Knowledge of technical accounting, financial reporting, and control frameworks.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to financial and non-financial audiences.
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform to tight deadlines.
- Bilingual English-Spanish; additional languages are an asset.
