Responsibilities
- Performing audit or review procedures, or assisting in other projects, as assigned
- Understanding the client’s business and industry and accounting and control systems
- Developing an understanding of SingerLewak’s audit approach
- Assessing risks and evaluating the client’s internal control structure
- Performing and documenting analytical procedures, substantive tests, and tests of controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues
- Reviewing or assisting in the drafting of financial statements and other client deliverables
- Supervising staff auditors as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting or related field
- At least one year of experience in public accounting
- Must be CPA eligible and working towards obtaining the license by taking and passing the applicable state CPA exam, or holds a current and valid CPA’s license
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (i.e., read, write, speak) with business level fluency in English
- Ability to travel to assigned client locations, as needed
- Ability to perform most phases of a client engagement, from planning to issuance
- Proficient knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States and United States Generally Accepted Auditing Standards
