Responsibilities
Perform bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients and maintain accurate financial records
Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts and review financial statements under IFRS and GAPSME frameworks
Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns, tax returns, and tax refund claim forms, including assistance with tax credit schemes where applicable
Liaise with clients to obtain necessary information and documentation for accounting and corporate tax returns
Respond to notices from tax authorities and coordinate with relevant entities as required
Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
Support internal team members, including junior staff and non-financial managers, by providing guidance and interpreting financial data
Research tax laws and regulations and seek advice from the accounting manager or director for complex matters
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar accounting or tax-focused role
Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAPSME, VAT, and corporate tax regulations
Experience in preparing management accounts, bookkeeping, and coordinating audits
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
Proactive, organised, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
