GL Accountant utilizing expertise in general accounting while participating in projects and improving processes at Etex Shared Service Center in Vilnius. Seeking a talented individual to grow within a collaborative environment.
About the role
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Participate in the month-end close, preparing journal entries from support and analysis of posted transactions
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities
- Reconcile accounts to ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets
- Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required
- Collaborate across the finance team to support the overall financial operations of the company
- Work closely with other departments to align financial practices with business objectives and respond to financial inquiries
- Ad hoc requests including management inquiries, special projects, and other one-off requests as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 0-1 years of accounting experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) with the ability to handle large data sets
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Publishing accounting experience (royalties, inventory), a plus
- Experience with NetSuite, a plus
