About the role
- ServiceNow CMDB Administrator managing database accuracy at SMBC. Collaborating with IT teams to optimize data integrity and supporting IT operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and administer the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with governance standards
- Partner with System Owners and Service Owners to resolve data gaps (i.e., missing, and invalid records)
- Monitors data quality improvements
- Support discovery processes, integrations, and data imports to populate and update the CMDB
- Monitor CMDB health, identify data quality issues, and assist in remediation efforts
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure CI (Configuration Item) relationships are properly defined and maintained
- Assist in developing reports, dashboards, and metrics related to CMDB health and usage
- Document processes, procedures, and best practices for CMDB administration
- Provide day-to-day operational support for ServiceNow CMDB-related requests and incidents
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms
- Basic understanding of ITIL processes, especially Configuration Management and Asset Management
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, or integration tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM) or IT Operations Management (ITOM)
