Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience.
  • Expert-level proficiency in IBM z/OS systems including installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning.
  • Strong hands-on experience with z/OS subsystems such as JES2/JES3, RACF, DFSMS, DFHSM, and SMP/E.
  • Deep understanding of Mainframe storage management, networking, and system security.
  • Proven experience in capacity planning, problem determination, RCA (Root Cause Analysis), and performance optimization.
  • Solid background in automation tools (e.g., REXX, CLIST, JCL scripting, System Automation, OPS/MVS, or equivalent).
  • Expertise in z/OS upgrades, migration, and modernization initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of z/OSMF, Zowe, and other modern mainframe management interfaces.
  • Experience with disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams across geographies and manage complex multi-account environments.
  • Strong skills in technical documentation, governance, and change management processes (ITIL framework preferred).
