About the role
- Work as part of a dedicated and high performing team delivering quality legal advice and services to support the business and operations of Transport for NSW and other agencies in the transport portfolio
- Provide expert legal advice with a focus on privacy to facilitate Transport entities’ compliance with statutory, policy and contractual obligations
- Undertake privacy impact assessments
- Manage responses to data breaches
- Handle external reviews in NCAT
- Deliver privacy training
Requirements
- A qualified solicitor who holds a practising certificate and is currently practicing
- 2+ years’ experience as a solicitor providing legal advice within a private firm, in house or Government legal team
- Experience and expertise in privacy
- Experience in any of the following areas: Administrative or regulatory law, Commercial law, Employment or safety law, Liability litigation or inquiries or prosecutions
- Strong communication and influence to effectively inspire confidence in clients
- A commitment to modelling the highest standards of integrity and professional conduct
