About the role

  • Work as part of a dedicated and high performing team delivering quality legal advice and services to support the business and operations of Transport for NSW and other agencies in the transport portfolio
  • Provide expert legal advice with a focus on privacy to facilitate Transport entities’ compliance with statutory, policy and contractual obligations
  • Undertake privacy impact assessments
  • Manage responses to data breaches
  • Handle external reviews in NCAT
  • Deliver privacy training

Requirements

  • A qualified solicitor who holds a practising certificate and is currently practicing
  • 2+ years’ experience as a solicitor providing legal advice within a private firm, in house or Government legal team
  • Experience and expertise in privacy
  • Experience in any of the following areas: Administrative or regulatory law, Commercial law, Employment or safety law, Liability litigation or inquiries or prosecutions
  • Strong communication and influence to effectively inspire confidence in clients
  • A commitment to modelling the highest standards of integrity and professional conduct
