Provide strategic Human Resources (HR) Advisory support to the Council
Work with an HR Business Partner and HR Officer
Provide expert advice covering complex employee relations
Offer a comprehensive Employee Relations (ER) focussed advisory service
Give advice on complex ER issues including Disciplinary, Grievance, Performance and Attendance Management
Identify solutions and support the HR Business Partner in the identification and delivery of service priorities and initiatives
Develop positive customer-focused relationships with managers within the assigned portfolio
Requirements
Educated to Degree level or equivalent professional experience
CIPD qualified member
In-depth knowledge of Employment law and up to date knowledge of current best practice in HR and people management
Experience of handling complex disciplinary, grievance, ill health and redundancy issues
Experience of managing projects and/or workstreams within structured project management frameworks
Good interpersonal, negotiating, influencing and consultative skills
Ability to form good working relationships and communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences
