About the role

  • Card Product Manager enhancing strategies for new account acquisition and optimizing portfolio performance. Collaborating with stakeholders and leading agile ceremonies.

Responsibilities

  • Execute card product strategies to drive new account acquisition and optimize portfolio performance
  • Develop knowledge of card products and become a subject matter expert
  • Define, maintain, and prioritize team backlog; a prioritized list of epics, features, and user stories
  • Regularly refine the backlog to ensure it remains relevant and focused
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define features/requirements and ensure clarity
  • Communicate vision, roadmap, and priorities effectively bridging between scrum team(s) and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with business systems analysts, architects, developers, and testers to decompose features into user stories
  • Lead or participate in all agile ceremonies including big room planning, sprint planning, standups, sprint reviews, product demos, scrum of scrum, etc.
  • Lead the scrum team to achieve sprint and release goals by mitigating roadblocks, trade-off decisions, and priority decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of product management experience in financial services or banking
  • 3+ years experience working within an Agile delivery framework
  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution of strategic priorities leveraging Agile practices
  • Master’s degree in business, management, operations, engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
  • Proven ability to quickly assess situations and risks, determine plausible paths of action, and execute flawlessly.
  • Superior project management skills (Project management certification is a plus).
  • Excellent skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
  • Agile product owner experience in digital/online products or customer self-service
  • New customer acquisition and onboarding experience
  • Experience working Card products (Debit, Credit, other card-based payment products)
  • Strong attention to detail, focus on process
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Collaboration skills, always acts as a team player
  • Demonstrated ability to critically analyze situations and risks, determine paths of action, and make recommendations to remediate issues
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements for financial institutions and products
  • Proficiency in agile tools such as Azure Dev Ops, Agile Place, Mural boards, etc.
