About the role

  • Act as the primary point of contact for inbound licensing inquiries from French-speaking clients via email, phone, and online platforms.
  • Guide clients through the full licensing process—including content discovery, pricing, contract negotiation, and usage rights.
  • Proactively conduct outbound sales to promote CP’s content archive to prospective and existing French-speaking clients.
  • Manage, nurture, and grow licensing relationships with clients in French-speaking markets.
  • Promote and sell usage rights for CP’s copyrighted content as well as approved third-party materials.
  • Deliver bilingual (French/English) customer service and technical support related to content licensing and usage.
  • Support clients in navigating CP’s digital platforms for content discovery, access, and downloads.
  • Communicate effectively to understand client needs and deliver tailored licensing solutions.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of CP’s client portfolio and the platforms they are licensed to use.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure smooth client onboarding and ongoing satisfaction.
  • Stay up to date on copyright laws, licensing best practices, and usage guidelines (training provided as needed).

Requirements

  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain licensing terms and processes.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive client relationships
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, account management, or client services, ideally within media, licensing, publishing, or a related field.
  • Experience with inbound and outbound sales, including lead generation and upselling.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a client portfolio and drive revenue growth.
  • Familiarity with copyright law, content licensing, and usage rights is strongly preferred (training can be provided)
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of juggling multiple clients and priorities.
  • High attention to detail in documentation, pricing, and client communication.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and content databases (e.g., Salesforce, Netsuite or similar).
  • Knowledge of the media, journalism, or content distribution industries is a plus
  • Experience working with archives, editorial content, or digital media assets is an asset.
