Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform proactive safety surveillance and risk management
- Acts as a Safety point of contact for Asset Teams
- Chairs Risk Management Committees and Core Working Groups
- Independently evaluates safety data and identifies complex safety signals
- Prepares action plans for risk and benefit-risk issues
- Contributes to written safety assessments and benefit-risk evaluations
- Represents SSRM on complex due diligence activities
- Engages in continuous improvement initiatives
- Develops a culture of courage, excellence, equity and joy within the team
Requirements
- Master's degree with 10+ years' OR PhD/PharmD with 7+ years' experience in medical, scientific, pharmacovigilance or drug development
- Disease area specific knowledge in endocrinology, obesity, and metabolism
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Strong understanding of aggregate safety data and signal assessment methodology
- Knowledge of global safety/regulatory issues related to drug development
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and collaborative skills
