About the role

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy to expand referral networks with hospitals, physician groups, home health agencies, and other high-value partners, aligning with organizational objectives.
  • Provide inspirational leadership to a team of business development liaisons, fostering a high-performance culture through mentorship, professional development, and strategic guidance.
  • Leverage advanced analytics to monitor market dynamics, competitor strategies, and referral trends, positioning the organization as the preferred partner in the region.
  • Cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with C-suite executives, key opinion leaders, and decision-makers across healthcare systems, rehabilitation centers, and senior care networks.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, and executive leadership to ensure seamless integration of business development strategies with care delivery and organizational goals.
  • Establish and track KPIs related to census growth, referral conversion rates, and team performance, driving continuous improvement through actionable insights.
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging markets, innovative partnership models, and untapped opportunities to expand the organization’s regional influence.
  • Ensure all business development activities adhere to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and the organization’s commitment to ethical practices.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive leadership in healthcare business development, with a focus on skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute care sectors.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing high-performing teams.
  • Deep knowledge of the skilled nursing and post-acute care landscape, including referral ecosystems, payer dynamics, and competitive positioning.
  • Proven ability to design and execute transformative growth strategies that deliver measurable results in complex, competitive markets.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to inspire, mentor, and elevate diverse teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Superior communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a track record of securing high-value partnerships with healthcare executives.
  • Expertise in leveraging data analytics to inform strategic decisions, optimize performance, and drive market share growth.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
