BenchSciLead Analyst, Data
Lead Business Analyst focusing on data analytics and business intelligence at BenchSci. Collaborating across teams to define and drive analytical strategy for informed decision - making.
About the role
- Manage daily reconciliation of Bank Accounts
- Perform primary investigation on the unreconciled items
- Understand variances and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
- Use effective data analysis to explain, investigate and action appropriate solutions for errors and discrepancies
- Confidently and proactively lead discussions to resolve outstanding issues
- Build and implement additional and ongoing reconciliations as required
- Provide support in testing and implementation of automated bank reconciliations on current and future projects
- Support the year-end audit process, working in close partnership with external auditors
- Work across the wider finance function across month-end processes and on ad hoc projects
Requirements
- Qualified/semi qualified CA/ACCA or equivalent (1-2 years experience for Qualified; 2-3 years for semi-qualified)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve variances
- Proven experience of reconciling high-volume transactions
- Great data analysis skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate varying sources of data/reconciliations
- Ability to work autonomously, take initiative and work well within a team
- Strong time management skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Strong skills in MS Office, especially Excel
- Good understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Ability to adapt to UK business hours to ensure seamless collaboration
- Experience of working in the FinTech/Banking/Financial Services industry (desirable)
- Experience utilising AI tools for process improvement and automation (desirable)
- Experience working in any Automated Reconciliation tool (advantage)
