Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple hardware programs and projects across the released product portfolio, ensuring timely delivery of scope within quality, schedule, and budget expectations.
Drive execution of hardware-related changes including end-of-life component replacements, design optimizations, complaint- and CAPA-driven improvements, and cost reduction initiatives.
Partner with functional leaders, product owners, and subsystem leads to define and align project scope, requirements, and testing strategy.
Manage program schedules, risks, interdependencies, and resource planning using established portfolio tools (e.g., PDWare ResourceFirst, Jira, ProChain, etc.).
Facilitate subsystem pre-scoping and steering committee reviews to secure alignment and trade-off decisions for resource prioritization.
Collaborate with Verification & Validation, Systems Engineering, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure appropriate test coverage and documentation.
Prepare and present program status updates and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional partners.
Champion continuous improvement and the Medtronic Mindset by fostering collaboration, adaptability, and proactive problem-solving.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of project/direct management experience or Advanced Degree with a minimum of 3 years of project/direct management experience
4+ years of experience in project management or commercial new product delivery in a regulated industry (e.g. medical, automotive, aerospace, etc.)
High degree of competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Proven track record of successfully managing within a matrixed organization
Experience managing Program/Project Managers with a history of increasing engagement
10+ years of experience in Project Management or commercial new product delivery (NICE TO HAVE)
MBA and PMP / CSM Certification preferred
Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework methodologies
Knowledge in product development, project management, and commercialization in the medical device industry
Strong communication and teamwork skills; must possess excellent relationship building skills with direct reports, peers, and senior leaders
Must be able to lead cross-functional discussions; driving towards alignment, decisions, resolutions when necessary
Ability to manage multiple projects at once while understanding cultural differences between various regions of the world
Experience with developing and/or commercializing large capital medical devices (e.g. Robotic systems, Imaging equipment, etc.)
Experience with advanced scheduling and resource management tools like Prochain and Resource First
Experience working under regulations of the FDA, notified bodies, and other regulatory agencies for successful commercial launches
Product launch experience working with Global teams
