About the role

  • Provide expert guidance on workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and leadership capability.
  • Partner with leaders to address workforce challenges and align people strategies with business goals.
  • Deliver timely, solutions -focused advice on employment policies, procedures and employment related matters.
  • Champion initiatives that enhance wellbeing, engagement, and retention.
  • Support continuous improvement incorporating employee feedback and engagement programs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with our values.
  • Lead regional rollout of national P&C frameworks and programs.
  • Lead or support key P&C processes including performance reviews, remuneration, talent mapping, and L&D.
  • Oversee day-to-day People & Culture operations across the region, ensuring consistency, compliance, and quality service delivery.
  • Manage complex employee relations matters in collaboration with legal/IR specialists.
  • Build and maintain relationships with our charity partners and lead programs that support them.
  • Lead CSR activities including the implementation of our Reconciliation Action plan and report on our CSR activities.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Development, Psychology, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with operational leaders to drive business outcomes through effective people management.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment law and industrial relations frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage change, influence stakeholders, and deliver people initiatives in complex environments.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, communication skills, and cultural awareness.
  • IT literacy in MS Office suite (Excel, Word & Outlook in particular).
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build relationships, credibility and trust.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, strong commercial acumen.
