Responsibilities
- Development and oversight of the hybrid OTD program including curriculum, program assessment, and accreditation
- OTD program faculty selection, leadership, development, and/or mentoring in innovative teaching approaches
- Pursuit of research/scholarship
- Management of the OTD budget
- Administrative responsibilities within SPTRS (e.g., management of the Hybrid OTD program)
Requirements
- Initial certification as an occupational therapist
- Must be an occupational therapist who holds a current license to practice as an occupational therapist in any United States jurisdiction and is eligible for licensure in Florida
- Hold a doctoral degree awarded by an institution accredited by a USDE-recognized institutional accrediting agency
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the field of occupational therapy to include clinical practice, administration, scholarship, and understanding of the role of the occupational therapy assistant
- AOTA membership
- Minimum of four (4) years of full-time post-baccalaureate education experience
- Understanding of ACOTE accreditation standards and requirements
- Desire to teach in area of expertise
- Must meet University criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor
