About the role

  • Maintain a s-built and engineering design of current operating projects, high voltage substations, BESS yards, and major equipment vendor drawings.
  • Lead root cause analyses and corrective action for electrical faults and other events affecting site operations.
  • Collaborate with OEM subject matter experts and Jupiter internal engineering to identify improvements in current and future site design.
  • Ensure operating projects comply with industry and regulatory standards including annual NERC compliance testing and documentation.
  • Act as technical liaison to individuals within and outside the organization with responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters pertaining to individual's field.
  • Travel to sites for onsite troubleshooting support.
  • Assist with site performance testing and manage changes and upgrades to power plant control and energy management systems.
  • Provides automation engineering support for failure mitigation, process improvement, data analytics and improving performance targets.
  • Support SCADA systems team for operational and security performance.
  • Drive process discipline through development of procedures and/or standardizing use of work management systems and reporting tools (Microsoft Dynamics, PowerBI).

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • 2-5 years of direct experience with high voltage substations, Wind/Solar/BESS power plants, or applicable fields
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
