Responsibilities
Analyze existing processes related to cost approval requests and reimbursements and liaise directly with long-term care insurers
Identify inefficiencies, sources of error and improvement opportunities; develop process optimizations, implement them yourself and track their impact in day-to-day operations
Structure, document and standardize processes (e.g., workflows, guidelines)
Actively contribute to strategic projects, e.g., improving collaboration with care insurers or optimizing our back-office processes
Play an active role in scaling and further developing our Partner & Payments Operations
Handle cost approval requests operationally, including review, follow-up and documentation
Work closely with colleagues from B2C Sales, Customer Success and other teams to resolve individual customer concerns and cross-departmental issues efficiently
Requirements
At least 2 years of professional experience in process management/operations/back office; ideally with hands-on casework or alternatively with an insurance background (e.g., private health or supplementary insurance)
Strong process understanding: you analyze workflows, recognize patterns and inefficiencies and actively and continuously optimize existing processes
Strong analytical skills and confident use of Excel / Google Sheets for data analysis and presentation
Hands-on, highly reliable and detail-oriented; you perform routine operational tasks consistently, accurately and independently
Proactive, clear and confident communication with internal and external stakeholders and the ability to set clear priorities in a start-up environment
Fluent German at C2 level (spoken and written) and English at B2 level
Desirable: experience working with statutory long-term care or health insurers (e.g., reimbursements, billing, applications)
Experience or affinity for automation, AI or no-/low-code tools (e.g., Zapier, AI-powered workflows) and an interest in making processes more scalable
