About the role

  • Serve as the primary client contact for assigned accounts, providing strategic input, ongoing communication, feedback, and updates, while flawlessly running client calls and in-person meetings
  • Manage workstreams across multiple clients and projects by delegating tasks, tracking deadlines, monitoring budgets, and ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • Partner with senior team members to develop comprehensive PR and marketing strategies that integrate traditional and emerging tactics, clearly define client goals, and establish measurable KPIs to track progress
  • Oversee team execution of campaigns, ensuring alignment with client brand, positioning, and sustainability goals
  • Review, edit, and finalize a wide range of materials developed by junior team members, including strategic plans, messaging documents, press and marketing assets, media lists, social media content, and design deliverables
  • Serve as quality control, ensuring all team work meets brand standards, client objectives, and agency quality benchmarks
  • Contribute to brand positioning, key messaging development, and crisis planning, including response strategies
  • Develop engaging content and collateral, such as digital campaigns, educational resources, and thought leadership materials
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, community groups, and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Design + Digital Team to ensure creative assets align with brand and sustainability objectives
  • Monitor trends, innovations, and challenges in renewable energy to provide proactive insights and recommendations
  • Lead measurement and reporting efforts, delivering actionable insights to optimize strategies and demonstrate impact
  • Work with account leadership to manage budgets, track hard costs, oversee vendor and contractor expenses, and begin developing resource management skills related to fee structures and team allocations
  • Support business development by contributing to proposals, research, meet-and-greets, and pitches
  • Serve as a mentor for junior team members, providing feedback, encouragement, and professional development support
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be located in Seattle, WA or Phoenix, AZ
  • 5+ years of previous Public Relations experience required
  • Experience managing project team of 2-3 employees
  • Previous public relations agency experience preferred
  • Experience with solar energy or renewable clients or projects preferred
  • Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
  • Travel required up to 10-15% of the time
