About the role

  • Lead and scale a newly established Relationship Management team focused on driving growth within our Active Trader segment.
  • Manage the daily activities and KPIs of the relationship management team, ensuring they meet and exceed sales and relationship quality targets.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one sales coaching sessions, pipeline reviews, and joint client calls to train the team in advanced relationship-based sales techniques, product knowledge, and compliance.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and continuous professional development for all team members.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies specifically tailored to the Active Trader and HNW segments, focusing on long-term client longevity and increasing share of wallet.
  • Own your team revenue targets, metrics and performance, optimizing for sales funnel conversion, and pipeline management.
  • Work closely with Sales Operations, Growth Marketing, Product Development, and Trading teams to ensure the sales team has the most relevant tools and competitive offerings.
  • Ensure all team activities, client onboarding, and sales practices strictly adhere to industry regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards.
  • Track and analyze team sales data, client churn rates, and relationship health metrics to provide accurate forecasting and reporting to senior management.
  • Oversee and review client interactions to ensure guardrails around registrable activities are maintained.

Requirements

  • People Management: 5+ years of experience leading and growing a sales team
  • Industry Experience: understands the active trader client segment, and can proficiently converse as a subject matter expert
  • Client Centric: Always put the client first, with a deep desire to help people
  • Goal Oriented: is very driven and has experience working and delivering against hard targets
  • Analytical: proactively uncovering insights through data to drive recommendations
  • Attitude: has a positive can-do attitude and be adaptable to evolving business goals
  • Strong communication: to clearly articulate the the strategy and proper sales approach
  • Team Collaboration: ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Self Starter: as a newly established team, being creative with an entrepreneurial mindset is key
  • Resilient: can demonstrate resourcefulness to persevere in the face of adversity
  • Nice to haves: Experience using Salesforce
  • Undergraduate or Post-Secondary degree in related field
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
