About the role

  • Independent management and oversight of 2 to 5 strategic major customer contracts with high economic significance
  • Negotiation, drafting, and conclusion of contracts – from the initial concept phase to final implementation
  • Strategic development and management of customer relationships throughout the entire contract lifecycle
  • Use of contractual language to prepare and execute agreements
  • Identification and acquisition of new key account customers in line with company strategy
  • Analysis of individual customer requirements and development of tailored contract solutions
  • Preparation and presentation of compelling proposals based on solid market and needs analyses
  • Direct responsibility for contract decisions
  • Active market and competitive monitoring to identify trends and opportunities early

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Business Administration or completed vocational training, e.g., in forwarding/transportation
  • Several years of experience in strategic contract management, ideally in key account management or a comparable role
  • Confident negotiation skills, strong analytical abilities, and a structured working style
  • High degree of personal responsibility, decisiveness, and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Several years of professional experience within the contract logistics industry or several years of experience in customer management
  • Good knowledge in the use of contractual language for contract preparation
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Fluent German and English skills
