About the role

  • Provide personalized, on-site support to clients to enhance satisfaction and strengthen relationships
  • Handle complex technical issues that remote teams cannot resolve to improve operational efficiency
  • Support Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange Online, and network technologies
  • Install and support a wide range of PC and Mac applications and desktop environments
  • Manage and troubleshoot on-premise and cloud infrastructure (Azure, Intune, Entra)
  • Maintain network configurations and resolve network performance issues (internet bandwidth, ISP, firewall/router)
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 desktop and application support (approx. 50% escalated desktop/app support, 30% Windows server support, 10% network support, 5% admin/meetings)
  • Organize and execute small to mid-size IT projects (up to ~20 hours)
  • Produce and update technical documentation and follow escalation procedures for complex issues
  • Interact with users in-person daily to assist with technology use and issue resolution
  • Attend client sites regularly; comply with site policies (no smoking) and required background checks

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years supporting current Windows Server and desktop technologies and client/server applications in a Windows-based network environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server (latest OS) and Exchange Online or enterprise mail systems
  • Experience working with the O365 ecosystem
  • Experience with Azure, Intune, Entra ecosystem
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Knowledge of all current Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems
  • Experience with XenApp/RDS or other VDI technologies
  • Experience with hypervisors (VMWare and Hyper-V)
  • Experience managing private and public DNS
  • Experience configuring firewalls
  • Experience with LAN and WAN technology and firewalls (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Aruba)
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server and Exchange Online maintenance and support
  • Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft 365 certification preferred/required
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to install and support PC and Mac applications
  • Management and troubleshooting of on-premise and cloud infrastructure
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 desktop and application support
  • Organize and execute small-mid IT projects (up to ~20 hours per project)
  • Produce, maintain and update technical documentation
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Successful completion of criminal, employment, credit, and motor vehicle background checks
