About the role

  • Support the design of space-based systems to deliver resilient, affordable, and sustainable space capabilities
  • Evaluate and modernize Global Positioning Systems (GPS)
  • Develop skills in developing and acquiring space systems and assess technical designs and test programs
  • Merge space vehicle development and acquisition to develop client solutions
  • Assess technical designs and test programs
  • Turn requirements into accomplishments that drive change
  • Support design, integration, and testing activities for space systems to deliver sustained GPS capabilities to warfighters, allies, and civil users

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in DoD space systems engineering, integration, and testing
  • Ability to develop integrated plans and schedules, decision briefings, manage givers and receivers, and manage risks for space programs
  • Experience with planning and execution of program milestones, including Operational Acceptance and IOC or FOC
  • Ability to lead and participate in cross-functional team meetings and task execution across systems engineering, integration, and test activities
  • Ability to establish collaborative relationships with government clients, stakeholders, and contractor teammates
  • Highly motivated, dynamic work ethic, and contribute to the DoD mission
  • Secret clearance (required)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Nice If You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience in DoD space systems engineering, integration, and testing
  • Experience with collaboration tools, including Confluence or Jira
  • Experience in planning Satellite Control Authority and Transition to Operations, and Satellite operations
  • Experience in sustainment support contracts
  • Knowledge of GPS space, ground, or user segment, and DoD 5000.01 policies
  • Strong writing skills, including program or systems engineering documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Master’s degree
  • PMP, ESEP, or CSEP, OCSMP Certification
