About the role

  • Commercial Account Manager serving small commercial insurance clients while growing the book of business and building relationships with underwriters and customers. Collaboration with team members and various stakeholders involved in insurance workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Serve clients in an existing book of small commercial insurance while having an opportunity to grow the book
  • Retain current clients
  • Share technical expertise about insurance - products, coverages, client needs, forms, and proposals
  • Complete day-to-day Commercial Lines Workflows - written confirmation of binding policies, certificates of insurance, endorsements and audits
  • Grow accounts by seeing account rounding and cross-selling opportunities (Business, Personal, Life, Benefits)
  • Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance in both our agency management system and insurance carrier’s rating systems

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Property and Casualty insurance agent
  • Experienced in Commercial insurance (minimum of 1 year required)
  • Motivated by getting things done and checking off your To-Do list
  • Great at helping customers over the phone, in emails or in person in a timely manner
  • Comfortable with computers and software - knowing Applied Epic is a BIG plus, but not required
