About the role

  • Oversee HR operations across India, the US, and Canada.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, taxation, benefits, and labor regulations in all three geographies.
  • Manage contracts, offer letters, and HR documentation.
  • Handle payroll coordination with finance teams and external partners.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for full-time, part-time, and contract roles.
  • Develop a consistent onboarding process across geographies.
  • Partner with leadership to identify future talent needs and develop effective succession planning strategies.
  • Co-design KRAs, KPIs, and performance frameworks aligned to SikhRI’s mission.
  • Facilitate regular performance reviews and feedback loops.
  • Guide managers on best practices in coaching, performance development, and conflict resolution.
  • Champion SikhRI’s values-driven and inclusive culture across diverse teams.
  • Design and deliver engagement initiatives, learning sessions, and wellness programs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, offering support, mediation, and guidance.
  • Establish HR policies that balance North American standards with local Indian execution realities.
  • Build frameworks for flexible work, leave management, diversity & inclusion, and professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of HR experience, with at least 2–3 years in an international/multi-country HR role.
  • Strong understanding of HR compliance frameworks in the US, Canada, and India.
  • Proven ability to design and implement HR processes, performance systems, and KRAs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and empathy.
  • Strategic thinker who can balance day-to-day HR operations with long-term people development.
