About the role

  • HR Business Partner managing employee lifecycle processes and HR strategy development for office staff in Düsseldorf, Germany. Collaborating with local and international teams to transfer strategies and oversee onboarding to offboarding.

Responsibilities

  • You will independently support and advise our approximately 60 HQ-based employees and managers as the HR Business Partner on all personnel-related matters.
  • You will independently manage the entire employee lifecycle — from recruitment through onboarding, development, retention and offboarding.
  • You will translate international strategies to the local market and regularly participate in meetings held in English.
  • You will also act as the HR contact for Sol de Janeiro (sister company) based in the UK, serving as a sparring partner for the employees based in Germany (approx. 10) and handling the administrative processing of hires and terminations.
  • You will plan and implement HR projects and actively contribute to the further development of our corporate and HR strategies.
  • You will support organizational development initiatives and change processes.
  • You will be responsible for preparatory payroll for your employee group and for close collaboration with our payroll provider; as a backup you will also prepare payroll data for the Retail area.
  • Overall, you will take responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of all operational HR processes in compliance with labor law requirements and internal HR policies.

Requirements

  • You have either a degree in business administration or economics with a focus on HR, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.
  • With several years of experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist or HR consultant, you already know what to expect in this role and quickly take on responsibility and management.
  • You have built up solid knowledge of labor law and HR process management.
  • Employees appreciate your strong communication and advisory skills as well as your high service orientation — your door is always open.
  • You show high receptiveness, conscientiousness and accuracy to confidently handle a wide range of tasks.
  • You not only excel at communication and organization, but you also bring a numbers-oriented mindset, familiarity with KPIs and an entrepreneurial approach.
  • You need fluent German and good English for your daily work with us.
