About the role

  • Provide client account strategy and growth plan, overall client account direction, and client relationship leadership
  • Consult with clients and ensure Blue North provides annual plans, quarterly plans and ongoing strategic recommendations
  • Own client Blue North revenue goals and forecasts; grow existing client business and communicate updates to senior leadership
  • Provide leadership to account teams to drive client profitability and ensure collaboration and positive teamwork
  • Directly manage and lead Account Executives to deliver exceptional customer service and long-term strategic value
  • Build new client possibilities and support new business development, including attracting and responding to RFPs
  • Monitor, track, and report on client fundraising performance; identify opportunities for optimization and growth
  • Maintain working knowledge of industry trends and competitors to inform client strategies
  • Focus on building strong client relationships through regular contact, including in-person meetings where possible

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in a similar role ideally in an agency or fundraising environment
  • Experience working with faith-based nonprofit organizations (required)
  • Leadership experience with the ability to effectively manage and coach others
  • Experience working with not-for-profit organizations (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of fundraising principles, annual planning and budgeting processes
  • Excellent client and expectation management, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong writing, grammatical and proofing skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, relationships and tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize to meet competing deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
  • Willingness to travel when required
