About the role

  • Review and verify invoices for tax compliance and adherence to company policies.
  • Verify payment requests for accuracy, proper approval, and policy compliance.
  • Export credit card transactions into QuickBooks via Float and code entries accurately.
  • Code and enter invoices into QuickBooks.
  • Enter customer invoices into QuickBooks and process payments received.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Assist with reconciling bank statements, credit card accounts, AP and AR accounts.
  • Assist with the preparation of journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Provide support for payroll processing and process salary payments as needed.
  • Record payroll transactions in the general ledger, ensuring accuracy.
  • Manage general office tasks, including purchasing, managing orders, and correspondence with banks and authorities.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide necessary information to internal and external parties.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, especially QuickBooks Online (highly preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members, vendors, and customers, in english and french.
  • Certificate / Diploma in accounting or a related field considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles as IFRS or / and Canadian GAAP or / and US GAAP.
  • Experience in SaaS (Software as a Service) environment.
