About the role

  • Serve as a trusted partner and advisor to employees and all levels of management
  • Provide guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters in alignment with Medtronic’s practices, policies, and local labor legislation
  • Lead proactive workplace initiatives and strategies
  • Conduct workplace investigations and internal reviews
  • Manage performance improvement and discipline processes
  • Handle end-of-employment situations and restructuring
  • Manage labor relations, crisis management, coaching, and conflict resolution
  • Develop and execute employee and labor relations strategies to foster a positive work environment
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Regularly communicate and brief senior and executive leadership on operations and initiatives

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of Employee Relations experience (or advanced degree with 8+ years)
  • 7+ years of managerial experience
  • Experience developing and implementing both proactive and reactive Labor Relations strategies in US
  • Experience managing a team spanned across multiple manufacturing sites with high volume of work
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics to inform business decisions and proactive initiatives
  • Demonstrated strategic agility and execution
