About the role

  • Define and execute the strategic vision for building and expanding HII Mission Technologies' Australian and U.K. businesses
  • Identify, pursue, and capture new business in Australian and U.K. markets and lead efforts to penetrate targeted customer segments (government, defense, commercial)
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, including regulatory, contractual, and operational considerations unique to Australia and U.K.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key government agencies, industry partners, and customers
  • Establish organizational and operational structure for Australia and U.K. entities, including hiring, compliance, and infrastructure
  • Partner with U.S. and global leadership teams on strategy, resourcing, and long-term planning and act as primary bridge between corporate and Australian/U.K. operations
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team as the business scales
  • Initially operate as a one-person office to shape vision, build key customer and partner relationships, and scale the organization to achieve sustainable market penetration and growth

Requirements

  • 10 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field or 8 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field
  • 12+ years of proven leadership experience in business development, market entry, and general management within large multi-national companies
  • Preferably experience in defense, government services, or high-growth technology/engineering sectors
  • Proven track record of launching or scaling new markets, divisions, and international operations in Australia and U.K.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian and U.K. business, government, and regulatory environment
  • Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships and drive large-scale growth initiatives in Australia and U.K.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship management, and executive presence
  • PMP certification is highly desired
  • Advanced degree is a plus
  • Broad understanding of Huntington Ingalls Industries is a plus
  • Knowledge of US Trade Controls is a plus
  • International business experience or experience with Australia is a plus
  • Ability to obtain security clearance
  • Required Travel: 11 - 25%
