About the role

  • Support strategic plan related to performance and status reporting by gathering, maintaining and interpreting internal data sources;
  • Analysis of internal data against external evidence related to the work and strategic plan of the department;
  • Effectively interact with all levels of management and staff to carry out project related tasks of various size and scope on an as-needed basis;
  • Engage and communicate with workplace partners/parties at various levels;
  • Organize and interpret data to present to varying leadership levels, organizations and committees;
  • Participate in the development of innovative presentations, comprehensive reports, and proposals;
  • Contribute to the day-to-day management of the operational functions of the program;
  • Participate in Quality Assurance & SOP reviews, and departmental process improvement initiatives;
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a university degree in a data science, science or health-related discipline with 1-3 years of experience;
  • General understanding of the Canadian healthcare system (public and private) and health technologies;
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Detail oriented and ability to synthetize data and make deductive decisions;
  • High level of proficiency with word-processing, database and spreadsheet software (including, but not limited to, the Microsoft Office suite);
  • Experience with electronic medical records and occupational health/disability management software an asset;
  • Ability to draw out meaningful business insights by synthetizing information from multiple sources;
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation skills) for internal/external audiences, as well as strong listening and investigative skills;
  • Self-starter who demonstrates a strong capacity for agility and creativity, and does not require detailed direction at all times;
  • Robust organization skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced working environment;
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, work ethic and time-management skills.
