About the role
- Collaborate closely with an assigned country of the ALDI SÜD Group as a strategic Business Partner, ensuring comprehensive data analysis that translates into actionable insights
- Proactively engage in business performance reviews with country leadership by presenting key findings, discussing implications and collaboratively developing measures for improvement
- Source and rigorously analyse market trends and competitor activities to develop a deeper understanding of market dynamics
- Manage timely and accurate reporting processes, while overseeing ongoing monitoring and planning efforts for the country’s performance metric
- Analyse and review operational KPIs to provide transparency about the country’s performance, linking these to the Group’s steering relevant KPIs
- Challenge the data and act as sparring partner to uncover improvement opportunities
- Provide ad-hoc analyses and assess local investment initiatives to determine their potential impact and feasibility
- Serve as the primary contact for the national finance organisation and act as an interface between the country and wider Group Controlling
- Support senior management in making informed decisions by translating complex data and reports into clear narratives and presenting them in engaging formats
Requirements
- Several years of working experience in Finance / Controlling / Accounting in an international corporate organisation
- Completed degree in business administration, economics or finance
- Work experience in the (grocery) retail industry is a plus
- Specialised qualifications or working experience in SAP FI / CO, SAP BW
- Confident with BI tools and the usage of dashboards, queries etc.
- Strong analytical skills with a passion to identifying the drivers behind numbers and combining quantitative data with qualitative information
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to engage with stakeholders at various levels
- Desire to work in dynamic environments and enjoy collaborating with international stakeholders
- Business-fluent in English
