About the role
- Lead engine room team to ensure smooth operation of engines and machinery equipment.
- Perform and oversee repairs and support dry-docking activities.
- Ensure compliance with STCW certifications and safety culture.
- Communicate effectively in English and work within multicultural teams.
- Monitor and maintain Deepwell Centrifugal Cargo pump systems and 2-stroke engines.
- Coordinate with ship management regarding trading areas and contract terms.
Requirements
- Responsible for leading Engine room team to ensure smooth operation of Engines and machinery equipment.
- Experience in repairs and dry docking.
- Holder of valid STCW certifications required for the position.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Effective English communication.
- Safety culture and mindset.
- Experience with multicultural working environment.
- Greek language Speaking is recommended.
- Minimum experience: 4 months in Rank on the same vessel type and with 2 stroke engines.
- Experience in Deepwell Centrifugal Cargo pump system is mandatory.
- Experience in trading area USA and Australia is recommended.
