About the role

  • Prepare accurate, competitive estimates for fire alarm system replacements and upgrades
  • Assess existing systems for obsolescence and compliance with current codes
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications, and conduct site surveys to define project scope
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop detailed proposals
  • Negotiate contracts within established financial and strategic guidelines
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with end users, general and electrical contractors, and project managers
  • Represent PSI as a trusted partner known for quality and reliability
  • Maintain ongoing communication with existing and past clients to uncover new business opportunities
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities beyond public bid forums
  • Promote PSI’s capabilities to architectural and engineering firms in target markets
  • Adapt and implement marketing strategies aligned with sales goals
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure accurate handoff and alignment of customer expectations before project execution
  • Support internal project teams to uphold PSI’s delivery and service standards

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fire alarm system sales, estimating, or engineering
  • In-depth understanding of NFPA codes, local fire codes, and AHJ interpretations
  • Familiarity with major fire alarm system brands such as Notifier, Siemens, EST, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and conduct on-site assessments
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software
  • NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems (preferred)
  • Selected candidates will undergo a background check, DMV record check (if applicable), and pre-employment drug screening (if required)
