Business Development Manager responsible for promoting the Q-SYS platform in Higher Education. Collaborating with colleges and universities to enhance audio, video, and control solutions.
Responsibilities
Accountable for driving adoption of the Q-SYS platform and ecosystem within the Higher Education vertical
Develop and continuously improve technical understanding of the Q-SYS solution set
Communicate strong value propositions
Maintain consistent sales activity levels
Identify and pursue opportunities for account growth and new business
Learn and employ company workflows and protocols
Work well in all phases of the sales cycle
Attend trade shows to interact with customers
Drive attendance at technical training sessions
Organize and conduct effective end customer meetings
Maintain data integrity with the Salesforce CRM
Requirements
HS Diploma
Bachelor’s degree preferred
At least 5 years demonstrated and relevant experience in personal selling within the AV-IT industry
Proven experience working with adjacent sales teams (consultant liaisons, strategic and channel)
Must possess the ability to make good judgements on which prospects to call on and how much time to spend with new customers versus prospects
Possess strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and sales management software (ERP/CRM etc.)
Consistent reporting and updates via CRM software
Ability to travel at least 30%
