Business Development Executive supporting Vendor Manager to grow Extreme Networks partner accounts. Generating leads, building relationships, and achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities
Support the Vendor Manager in identifying, engaging and qualifying key Extreme Networks partner accounts to drive and grow.
Generate leads, set appointments and build relationships with the partner base.
Achieve growth and hitting sales targets.
Profile organisations and individuals through various means (LinkedIn etc.).
Uncover and explore new opportunities across new channels to increase market share.
Arrange face-to-face meetings with potential / existing Partners to enable the Extreme Networks partner programme and develop EXN Capabilities.
Develop an in-depth understanding of the Extreme Networks Portfolio, to present to target and aligned partners.
Forecast and manage key deals, working with finance and credit where necessary.
Drive attendance to key sales and technical days as well as webinars in the events calendar, supporting with content / presence where required.
Manage and maintain the proactive tracker to show progress in aligned accounts.
Requirements
Proven track record as a hunter in a sales or business development role, with demonstrable success in generating new business.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Tenacious, resilient, and unafraid to pick up the phone to make outbound calls daily.
Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to handle objections effectively.
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Exceptional administrative skills.
Ability to learn quickly.
Take responsibility for personal development with a strong desire to work to and surpass targets.
Have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).
Ability to problem solve, identifying a client’s needs and respond accordingly.
Self-starter who can motivate themselves and takes a positive approach to sales.
Knowledge of IT Industry – knowledge of our vendors would be excellent.
Previous use of NetSuite CRM system.
