Benefits Specialist supporting the Client's Benefits team with large-scale initiatives and analytics-based support. Collaborating on data analysis and process improvement tasks while optimizing benefits administration.
Responsibilities
Support Client's Benefits team with large-scale initiatives including a pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) transition
Perform data analysis, reporting, benefit census validation
Cross-train on processes such as POPR funding
Focus on analytics, process improvement, and support actuaries and vendors by verifying census data
Attend three weekly team meetings, assist with project notes, perform data pulls and validation in Workday and Excel, and support ad hoc requests
Requirements
5–7 years of experience in benefits, preferably as a Benefits Specialist, Benefits Analyst, or Benefits Administrator
Experience supporting large employer plans (5,000+ employees); industry background not required
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required (experience prioritized)
Advanced Excel (pivot tables, concatenate, data organization)
Data analysis and reporting experience
Experience working with large employer health plans (5,000+ employees)
Familiarity with Workday (preferred)
