About the role

  • Benefits Specialist supporting the Client's Benefits team with large-scale initiatives and analytics-based support. Collaborating on data analysis and process improvement tasks while optimizing benefits administration.

Responsibilities

  • Support Client's Benefits team with large-scale initiatives including a pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) transition
  • Perform data analysis, reporting, benefit census validation
  • Cross-train on processes such as POPR funding
  • Focus on analytics, process improvement, and support actuaries and vendors by verifying census data
  • Attend three weekly team meetings, assist with project notes, perform data pulls and validation in Workday and Excel, and support ad hoc requests

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in benefits, preferably as a Benefits Specialist, Benefits Analyst, or Benefits Administrator
  • Experience supporting large employer plans (5,000+ employees); industry background not required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required (experience prioritized)
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, concatenate, data organization)
  • Data analysis and reporting experience
  • Experience working with large employer health plans (5,000+ employees)
  • Familiarity with Workday (preferred)
