About the role

  • Associate Account Executive delivering tailored insurance solutions to private equity firms. Managing client relationships and facilitating coverage renewals and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of complex insurance programs for private equity clients and their portfolio companies.
  • Support the development and execution of client service plans, including renewals, coverage reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with producers, account managers, and claims advocates to deliver seamless service and strategic insights.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and client communications that reflect Howden’s consultative approach.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and policy management systems.
  • Stay current on market trends, carrier appetites, and emerging risks relevant to private equity and M&A activity.
  • Participate in client meetings, carrier negotiations, and internal strategy sessions.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry, ideally in an Associate Account Executive or similar role.
  • Exposure to private equity, financial lines, or complex commercial insurance placements is a plus.
  • Active Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a client-first mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
  • Team-oriented approach with a desire to grow within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
