About the role

  • Maintain, edit, and validate spatial datasets using ArcGIS Pro and Enterprise tools, ensuring accuracy and compliance with mapping standards.
  • Build Python scripts and FME workbenches to automate data transformation, ingestion, and integration from external sources (e.g., county parcel updates, survey files).
  • Perform spatial analyses and generate custom maps and reports to support Lands & ROW operations and decision-making.
  • Troubleshoot GIS issues, respond to user inquiries, and contribute to internal guides and documentation.
  • Work with senior GIS staff and team members to support project deliverables and uphold data governance practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Geomatics, or a related field, or a GISP (GIS Professional) certification with two to four years of experience.
  • Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS suite (Pro, ArcMap, Online/Enterprise), Python, and FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) for geospatial automation and data processing.
  • Familiar with SQL, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) scripting, spatial analysis, and cartographic principles.
  • Able to clearly explain GIS concepts and outputs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and committed to data quality and customer service.
  • Experience in energy/infrastructure sectors, enterprise GIS environments, and Power BI integration (preferred).
