Analyst GIS managing spatial datasets and automation solutions for Enbridge in the energy sector. Focusing on GIS data accuracy and high-quality data solutions in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
Maintain, edit, and validate spatial datasets using ArcGIS Pro and Enterprise tools, ensuring accuracy and compliance with mapping standards.
Build Python scripts and FME workbenches to automate data transformation, ingestion, and integration from external sources (e.g., county parcel updates, survey files).
Perform spatial analyses and generate custom maps and reports to support Lands & ROW operations and decision-making.
Troubleshoot GIS issues, respond to user inquiries, and contribute to internal guides and documentation.
Work with senior GIS staff and team members to support project deliverables and uphold data governance practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Geomatics, or a related field, or a GISP (GIS Professional) certification with two to four years of experience.
Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS suite (Pro, ArcMap, Online/Enterprise), Python, and FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) for geospatial automation and data processing.
Familiar with SQL, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) scripting, spatial analysis, and cartographic principles.
Able to clearly explain GIS concepts and outputs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and committed to data quality and customer service.
Experience in energy/infrastructure sectors, enterprise GIS environments, and Power BI integration (preferred).
